Our School

As an Independent Public School, Rosalie Primary School caters for children in Kindergarten to Year Six and draws from Shenton Park, a highly regarded area close to the Perth CBD and the University of WA.

Rosalie has a proud academic tradition and is dedicated to excellence in teaching and learning, striving to be recognised as a school which maximises learning opportunities to ensure students develop a broad range of skills and strong sense of values.

The school has attracted an experienced, caring and innovative staff with provision for specialist teachers in Visual Arts, Music, Drama, Physical Education and French. All staff work to provide a range of high quality learning opportunities to stimulate and challenge the individual needs and talents of their students. This is done within a culture that is collegiate and collaborative.

The school continues to grow with enrolments currently around 550 students.  Performance in national testing (NAPLAN) consistently show academic achievement which is well above state and national means. In 2015 Rosalie PS was the inaugural winner of the Governor’s STEM Award for Leadership Excellence, in 2016 the school won the Meritorious STEM Award whilst in both 2015 and 2016, the school was named one of four finalists in the WA Education Awards in the Primary School of the Year category.

The Rosalie school community displays a high level of educational awareness and the school enjoys strong and active parental support. Parents are true partners in the education of their children, with teachers and parents working together to ensure students are encouraged to participate, to strive for success, to be considerate and supportive of others and to value the pursuit of knowledge. Parents and families are part of the fabric of the school, being integral to the provision of quality educational programs.  The P&C funds events such as the Writers’ Festival and the Science Fair.
