The mathematics curriculum is structured into three content strands and four proficiency strands.
These content strands are:
- Number and Algebra
- Measurement and Geometry
- Statistics and Probability
The proficiency strands are:
- Understanding
- Fluency
- Problem solving
- Reasoning
At Rosalie, students engage in learning experiences that develop their mathematical skills and knowledge. These experiences include valuable, practical and engaging strategies that help students develop into self-motivated problem solvers. A coordinated and planned approach to numeracy learning provides a direction in planning for improvement.
We are excited to introduce dynamic streaming for Years 5 & 6 in 2020 using Cambridge ICE-EM. For a detailed plan of Mathematics at Rosalie in 2020 please click below.
